Lid Life is a UK motorcycle community. We publish news, write long-form articles, run the Lid Life Events Finder App, and put out daily content across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
We’re not a magazine. Not a dealership. Not a PR shop dressed up as journalism. No commercial allegiance to any manufacturer, brand or product. Our only allegiance is to the rider.
Who we’re for
The Lid Life audience isn’t a demographic, it’s a disposition. The shared quality is simple: they ride.
That means the commuter on a 125 doing the A-road run at 7am, the weekend warrior whose bike doesn’t move Monday to Friday, the track day regular thinking in lap times, the green-laner caked in mud, the café racer obsessive who lives as much in the workshop as on the road, the scooter kid with a CBT and a job to get to, the adventure crowd, and the cruiser community quietly getting on with it.
What unites all of them is a licence and a key. That’s the only qualification we recognise.
What we stand against
Gatekeeping. There’s no minimum displacement, mileage, or coolness threshold for this community. The person commuting to a nursing shift on a 125 is as valid a rider as anyone doing track days at Donington. We don’t rank riders.
Brand snobbery. No loyalties, no vendettas. A good bike is a good bike.
Corporate voice. The moment we sound like a press release, we’ve failed.
What we make
News reported straight. Reviews honest enough to be trusted. Ride guides that cover the whole of the UK, not just the bits south of Birmingham. The Events Finder App, a searchable directory of motorcycle events from major international shows to club rideouts in pub car parks in North Yorkshire. And social content that actually sounds like a rider, not a brand.
