2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R Hits UK – Pure Race-Bred Firepower
Bologna, Italy – Ducati has pulled the wraps off the 2026 Panigale V4 R, a limited-edition superbike that’s as close as you’ll get to riding a MotoGP machine on British roads. Packed with proper race tech – from MotoGP-style aero to a new racing gearbox – this is Ducati's most focused Panigale yet.
Engine & Power
Under the fairings sits a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R motor pushing out 208.4bhp at 13,250rpm in road trim. Throw on the optional race exhaust and performance oil, and it’ll hit a mental 239bhp (though that’s strictly for closed circuit use).
The torque tops out at roughly 114Nm at 12,000rpm, with a flatter mid-range thanks to updated pistons, intake geometry, and valve timing tweaks.
Race Gearbox with a Twist
Ducati’s new Racing Gearbox (DRG) repositions neutral below first gear – same setup as used in MotoGP. To avoid clumsy slips into neutral when you’re hammering down through the box, there’s also a clever Neutral Lock (DNL) system fitted.
MotoGP Aerodynamics Meet Real-World Grip
For the first time ever on a production bike, Ducati’s fitted corner sidepods – aero elements designed to add downforce while you’re leant over mid-bend. Along with updated front wings, they generate up to 6kg of downforce at 300kph (that’s nearly 186mph in old money).
Gone is the classic single-sided swingarm – replaced with a symmetrical double-sided swingarm to improve traction and chassis response when pushing hard on track. Frame flex has been reduced, making the front end more predictable on corner entry.
Track-Focused Hardware
Suspension comes from Öhlins: a pressurised NPX 25/30 fork, TTX36 shock, and their new SD20 steering damper. Brakes? Brembo Stylema R calipers clamp down on dual 330mm discs, and it’s all rolling on lightweight forged wheels wrapped in sticky Pirelli rubber.
The electronics package is as trick as you'd expect: traction control, wheelie control, slide control, launch assist, and race ABS – all controlled via a six-axis IMU and a new 6.9-inch TFT dash with added grip meter and telemetry tools.
Each bike is individually numbered with its unique build code engraved into the top yoke.
Price & UK Availability
Ducati UK has confirmed the V4 R will retail from around £42,000 OTR. Orders are now open via official Ducati dealers, with first deliveries expected in late 2025.
The Verdict
The 2026 Panigale V4 R isn’t built for café posing – it’s aimed squarely at riders who live for the track. With its MotoGP DNA, high-revving engine, and advanced chassis, it’s the ultimate tool for fast laps and full-send weekends.
If you’ve got the skill – and the bank balance – Ducati’s latest superbike offers race-level performance with a number plate. But act fast – it won’t hang around in showrooms.
Track weapon. Tarmac terror. Tyre-shredding brilliance. The V4 R is here — and it’s utterly bonkers.
