Museum Live 2025 Returns to the National Motorcycle Museum
The National Motorcycle Museum has confirmed a glittering line-up of stars for Museum Live 2025, taking place on 25th and 26th October 2025. Fans heading to Solihull can look forward to meeting some of the biggest names in racing history, with live stage interviews, autograph sessions, and plenty of banter from heroes who shaped the sport.
Legends of the Road & Track
This year’s roster is a who’s who of British motorcycling royalty. Scheduled to appear are:
- John McGuinness MBE – The ‘Morecambe Missile’, 23-time Isle of Man TT winner, sharing tales from the Mountain Course and his long career at the sharp end of road racing.
- Steve Plater – TT winner and former British Supersport Champion, now a popular pundit, bringing insight and humour to the stage.
- James Whitham – The Yorkshire favourite, British Supersport champion and World Superbike rider, known as much for his razor wit as his racing credentials.
- Carl Fogarty CBE – Four-time World Superbike Champion, a true racing icon whose passion and straight-talking style always lights up the crowd.
- Maria Costello MBE – Record-breaking road racer and trailblazer for women in the sport, set to inspire with stories from her career at the Isle of Man TT and beyond.
Alongside these headliners, the stage will also host appearances from engineering greats and ex-factory mechanics, giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into racing life.
Up Close and Personal
The live stage isn’t just about listening – it’s about joining in. Visitors will have the chance to ask questions directly, hear untold stories, and get autographs from their heroes. Expect the usual mix of hilarious anecdotes, hard-earned racing wisdom, and a few secrets that don’t always make the TV coverage.
Why It Matters
Museum Live is more than an event – it’s a gathering point for riders of every generation. Having legends like Fogarty, McGuinness, Whitham and Costello under one roof makes it a rare chance to celebrate British motorcycling history with the very people who made it. And with entry free of charge, it’s an open invitation for every rider to come along and be part of the community.
Catch the stars live at Museum Live 2025, National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull, on 25th and 26th October. Free entry, free parking, and all the stories you could want – straight from the legends themselves.
More Than Just the Stars
While the legends on stage will grab the headlines, Museum Live 2025 is also about the machines themselves. The National Motorcycle Museum is home to the world’s largest collection of British motorcycles – over 850 of them spread across five halls – and every visitor gets free access to wander through this treasure trove on the day.
Expect to see everything from early pioneer bikes that rattled along Edwardian roads, right through to the ground-breaking superbikes that defined whole racing eras. Norton, Triumph, BSA, Vincent—you name it, it’s there polished, preserved, and proudly displayed. Many of the machines have racing pedigree, with TT and GP winners sitting just a few feet from your own riding boots.
Adding to the buzz are indoor and outdoor trade stands, where you’ll find everything from parts and tools to riding gear and memorabilia. Classic clubs will be out in force too, bringing their own machines and enthusiasm to share with fellow bikers. It’s as much about the conversations as the exhibits – one moment you’re admiring a Manx Norton, the next you’re swapping stories with the bloke who rebuilt it in his shed.
Behind-the-scenes action is on offer too, with the museum’s restoration workshops opening their doors. You’ll see the expert team breathing new life into rare bikes, explaining the craft and dedication it takes to keep these historic machines running for future generations.
Throw in the food court, plenty of space to catch up with mates, and the constant soundtrack of laughter and exhaust talk, and you’ve got a proper day out – one that’s every bit as much about the community as it is the chrome.
