Win a One-Off Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer, and Ride for a Brilliant Cause

Triumph have just pulled the wraps off something rather special. A one-off, custom-built Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer DGR Edition, and you could be in with a chance of winning it. The catch? You have to go for a ride and raise some money for a great cause. Tough life.

The bike has been revealed ahead of this year's Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, which takes place worldwide on Sunday 17 May. Now in its 15th year, the DGR is one of the most feel-good events on the motorcycling calendar, bringing thousands of riders together to raise funds for men's mental health and prostate cancer research through the Movember Foundation. Last year alone, 127,000 riders turned out across 108 countries and raised an incredible $7.6 million. Over all 15 years, the total sits at over $60 million. Not bad for a bunch of bikers in their Sunday best.

So, What's the Prize?

Triumph, who have been the official motorcycle partner of the DGR since 2014, have created a single one-off machine to headline this year's Gentlefolk Prize. It's based on the newly revealed Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer Edition, which is already limited to just 800 units worldwide and costs £15,995. The DGR Edition, though, goes a step further with some genuinely lovely bespoke touches.

The most eye-catching is the Harris Tweed seat, hand-woven by craftspeople in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. It's the kind of thing you'd be almost too nervous to sit on, and then immediately regret not sitting on because, well, it sounds amazing. Alongside that, the bike gets a special '15 Years of Dapper' graphic, a numbered board, and a certificate of authenticity. The Competition Green and Aluminium Silver colour scheme, with gold accents, ties the whole thing together beautifully.

Mechanically, it's unchanged from the standard Café Racer Edition, which isn't a complaint. You're getting Triumph's 1,200cc Bonneville parallel twin, producing 105bhp and 112Nm of torque, with a 270-degree firing order that gives it that characterful, thumping feel. Clip-on handlebars put you in a proper café racer tuck. Up front there are fully adjustable Marzocchi USD forks, with Öhlins twin shocks at the rear. Braking is taken care of by twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers. It's a cracking spec sheet, even before you get to the tweed.

How Do You Enter?

Here's where it gets interesting. Unlike previous years where the top fundraisers took the prizes, the Gentlefolk Competition for 2026 is a random draw open to all eligible riders. So everyone who completes the steps is in with an equal shot. No need to be a fundraising machine, just a willing one.

To be in with a chance, you need to:

  • Register for the DGR at gentlemansride.com
  • Complete your rider profile
  • Make a personal donation
  • Support another rider's fundraising
  • Raise at least $250 (roughly £189) in donations

Tick all four profile badges and you're automatically entered into the draw. Simple as that. Triumph will also give out brand new modern classic motorcycles to the three riders who raise the most donations worldwide, so there's extra incentive if you're feeling motivated.

You can also join Team Triumph when you register, connecting with Triumph owners and Modern Classic fans across the world as part of the global ride.

A Proper Reason to Ride

Look, we don't need much of an excuse to get out on the bike, but this is one of the better ones going. The DGR is one of those events that reminds you why the biking community is such a brilliant thing. It's not just a ride, it's a load of riders coming together, dressed up, raising money for causes that genuinely matter, and having a great time doing it.

Men's mental health is something close to a lot of hearts in this community. We all know what it's like when a ride clears your head, gives you space to think, or just makes the world feel a bit more manageable. Being part of an event that raises awareness and money for exactly that feels like the right kind of thing to be involved in.

And if you happen to come home with a one-off Triumph in Harris Tweed? Well, that's just a very good day out.
