Eleveit X Land Adv E-Dry boots: Italian leather, waterproof membrane, and a wider fit for winter socks

There are two things that’ll ruin a good day in the saddle faster than a closed road: soggy feet and boots that fall apart when you actually need them. Eleveit’s new X Land Adv E-Dry are having a crack at solving both.

Designed in Carate Brianza, north of Milan – an area with a long history of quality Italian footwear – the X Land Adv E-Dry are the latest from Eleveit, and they look the part. Oiled brown leather, clean lines, and an E-Dry waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry whether you’re fording a stream or just getting caught out on the M62 in November.

The sole is thick, deeply treaded, and cut in a walking boot pattern, so there’s grip both on and off the pegs, which matters when you’ve binned it in a field and need to actually walk somewhere. Inside, polyurethane inserts add protection and flexibility at the front, rear, and below the gearshift pad. That last one’s on both boots, which Eleveit helpfully notes covers you if you’re still riding a right-hand-shift relic from the fifties.

Ankle protection comes via a shaped dome over the ankle bone, with stiff polyurethane reinforcement around the heel and toe box. The interior is padded throughout for all-day wear. Up front, a ribbed flexible lower section leads to a curved shin plate carrying the Eleveit logo. Closure is via a wide Velcro band at the top and three adjustable straps at the shin, lower calf, and across the foot, so they’re staying put whether you’re on tarmac or picking your way through ruts. An elasticated cuff does its best to keep the water out when you’re wearing trousers tucked in.

One thing worth flagging: Eleveit have built these with a wider fit. That means room for a thick pair of socks in January, or just breathing space if your feet have never been what you’d call narrow. A small thing, but one that matters more than most manufacturers seem to realise.

Alongside the full-height version, there’s also the X Land ADV Low E-Dry – same spec, same features, just cut to mid-calf. It’s the sensible pick if your off-road ambitions are more green lane than enduro stage, or if you simply prefer something easier to get on and off at fuel stops. Protection is still solid either way.
